Play Misty, For Me

By Christopher Bernard Lidstone

Written in Memory of Misty

the dog and friend of my in-laws

Nelson and Pansy Temple

----   ---   ---   ---   ---   ---   ---

It’s the little things that really matter

Those first steps, the pitter patter

But those steps get loud and gone

You miss them but you carry on

-

All the little things you miss

Get fill by one puppies kiss

That little ball of fluffy white

Would give you love day and night

-

Never asking or pretending

Faithful and on you depending

That you’d head her every warning

When strangers came night or morning

-

Then in the activity of day

She promised she’d not run away

She stood your side for many years

Those happy times and all those tears

-

It’s terrible to lose a friend

Who’s faithful from start to end

You cry those tears that never dry

You’ll always have Misty eyes
